EC proposals to cut VAT rate for services - Ireland Should Apply!

According the KPMG UK website (see link below) the EU may facilitate VAT reductions as far down as 5% to address ‘labour intensive’ businesses such as hotels, restuarants etc Come on Ireland lets get to it.

Excellent News. I believe that unless we level the playing field in terms of the VAT situation and also the supply chain issues that we will never solve this problem.
If we do the above then we have an open all-island economy that consumers have real and fair choice in.
